I REALLY LIKE THE STYLING OF THESE SANDALS. THE THICK HEEL CUSHIONING IS ANOTHER PLUS. THE SHOES FIT A LITTLE SNUG. IF TEVA OFFERS A WIDE SIZE ,I WOULD BUY THAT,NEXT TIME. VALUE WISE, I THINK THE SANDALS ARE A BIT OVER PRICED. THE IRISH SETTER AND TIMBERLAND SANDALS I BOUGHT LAST SUMMMER ARE STILL IN GOOD SHAPE AND WILL PROBABLY STILL BE AROUND NEXT SUMMER. I WEAR SANDALS EVERY DAY DURING THE TEXAS SUMMER(MAY TO SEPTEMBER)AND SWITCH OFF EOD. THOSE BRANDS WERE PRICED ABOUT THE SAME AS THE TEVAS. THE TEVA SANDALS ARE ALREADY SHOWING STRESS AND THE LEATHER IS GETTING STIFF,SO THEY PROBALY WON'T GIVE ME THE SAME SERVICE AS THE OTHER PAIRS.
Shoe of choice (2010-06-28)
To be honest my first pair of this sandal had a defect in them. The inside of the shoe where your foot rests did not go all the way to the front of the shoe. My toes rested on this 'ridge' so whenever I took a step I could feel it. I didn't wear them beyond trying them on, contacted Amazon CS and had a new pair within 2 days.
The first time I wore the new pair my feet ached a bit. I had them on for about 9 hours. But don't let this discourage you. I don't know if that one day was an adjustment period for myself or the sandals but now they are all I want to wear! They are more comfortable than just about any tennis shoe I have ever owned. Since I have gotten them and unless I can't wear them for some reason (work dress code) these are what I am slipping on to head out the door. They slide on very easily but there is never any worry that they will fall off. My feet don't sweat in them and stay cool. Just this weekend I went to an art festival where I was on my feet for a good 6 hours straight and these sandals held up well. I normally put inserts in my shoes to help with my arches but with these I have not needed to at all. I have no concerns about my foot slipping on whatever I am slipping on or my foot slipping in the sandal as can happen with sandals that may have only one strap around your ankle.
I'm also not a big one about style per se when it comes to shoes (or anything). But I liked the look of these and my wife tells me that they are very stylish.
When these wear out I will getting a new pair from Teva.

I walk a lot and wanted a sturdy pair of sandals that were meant to last. Most, not all, sandals for women are light weight and a few are well made but none suited me. I fell for these as they have a nice foot cavity and the upper build is almost like wearing a full shoe. My toes are protected and the wide base allows me to walk more certainly on uneven terrain. And they will age beautifully.
Saved our Vacation... (2010-05-10)
I purchased these for my husbands birthday. He had been complaining about his feet/legs hurting when we walked too much. For his birthday, we went to the coast, and I knew we would be doing alot of walking. As we drove through the town we were staying in, he saw an athletic/outdoor shoe store, and said "Before we do much walking, I'd like to check out what they have there." As soon as we got to our Hotel...I gave him the gift wrapped Tevas...He loved the way they looked, and couldn't wait to get them on his feet! We walked daily for the next week...in fact, he wore me out walking so much!! So, upon returning home, I've ordered myself a pair of similar women's Tevas so I am better able to keep up with my walking hubby! Love the shoes...and Thanks for improving our vacation by a 1000%! He wears them daily, and is bummed when he has to put on regular shoes for work...Thanks!!
